The realism in Vedika of Bade Achhe Lagte Hain 2 makes her interesting: Reena Aggarwal

Reena Aggarwal of Bade Achhe Lagte Hain 2 gets into a conversation with IWMBuzz.com.

Reena Aggarwal is good-looking and is stunning one and all with her engaging persona and character in Sony TV’s Bade Achhe Lagte Hain 2. Reena is very happy that her character of Vedika has a lot to offer to the main plot. Vedika who is the ex-girlfriend of Ram (Nakuul Mehta) has seen a transformation recently, wherein she has changed colours.

Says Reena, “I am really blessed to have bagged this role in Bade Achhe Lagte Hain 2. Its been more than a decade since I settled in Mumbai. I have been into this profession for a while now. I have earlier auditioned for roles in Balaji Telefilms shows, but this is the first time I have got selected for a role. This show came into my life when I was wanting to do something interesting. I have been avoiding TV after Kya Haal Mr Panchaal, because I wanted projects that interest me. I am happy with Vedika’s role. It is a pleasant feeling to be with the cast of the show.”

Talking about the role, Reena states, “This role has a lot of practical approach in it. The realism in the character is what makes Vedika more interesting. Vedika was shown to be positive in the beginning, but now she is turning negative which is very interesting for the audience. It is not like how a negative character is portrayed on TV. I loved doing Vedika when she was positive. I am sure that I will still love it when she is turning negative.”

Reena is all praise for Nakuul Mehta, her co-actor. “Working with Nakuul is magical. He is one of the best human beings and one of the best actors I have come across with. I love his work, I love the way he cracks his jokes when the camera is not rolling. The best thing is the amount of love that Ram and Vedika’s Jodi has received in the show. ‘Agar co-actor ho toh Nakuul jaisa ho, warna na ho’, he is such an amazing person to be with.”

“I feel good about the character graph of Vedika. As I said, now it is turning negative. The chemistry between Ram and Vedika was intriguing. Now when the character is turning negative, there is a lot more to play with for Vedika,” she states.

Reena loves the impactful roles more. “Any role that has a lot of passion in it attracts me. Roles based on women empowerment keep me engaged. I like doing comedy too. There is so much to do in the industry as an actor. I look forward to a great future.”

“As of now, I am really keen on doing a role like that of Sharon Stone in Basic Instinct. If I get to do something like that of Priyanka Chopra’s in Aitraaz, Meenakshi Seshadri in Damini, Jennifer Aniston’s role in FRIENDS, I will be blessed,” explains Reena.

On future aspirations, she avers, “Ultimately, every actor wants to do web series. Of course, I want to be a part of the digital medium too. As for films, last year, I shot for a film Alpha Beta Gamma directed by Shankar Srikumar. It has been selected for IFFI which is being held in Goa presently. There is a category called Silver Peacock category wherein only two films have been selected. One of it is my film.”

Best of luck, Reena!!
