Actress Aishwarya Raj Bhakuni is filled with gratitude as she ends the beautiful chapter of playing the role of Devi Parvati for Sony SAB’s mythological Shrimad Ramayan. The show produced by Swastik Productions has had a good run and is slated to end soon. Aishwarya is happy that she got an opportunity to be a part of the show.
Talking about her successful journey with the show, Aishwarya states, “I loved playing Parvati in Shrimad Ramayan. This is the first time I got to be a part of the family of Swastik Productions. It is an amazing production house, as they know how to project their characters and give them a larger-than-life appeal.”
She has a special mention for versatile actor Tarun Khanna who played the role of Lord Shiv in the show. “I enjoyed working with Tarun Khannaji who plays Shiv opposite me. He taught me nuances of acting in a Godly way as he has been doing mythological roles for a long time now.”
Recollecting the difficult phase when she started to the present time when she is at ease in the role, Aishwarya avers, “Playing Parvati was one of the toughest roles for me. Devi Parvati is so divine and graceful. The role could not be portrayed humanly. There was a requirement to act a lot with the eyes, with a softness in the voice. I found it very difficult to transform myself into the role on the first day of my shoot at Shrimad Ramayan. But I got taught a lot by my co-actor Tarunji, creatives, and director. This has been a huge learning curve for me that ultimately made me give my best. Now, when I go on the set, the role has become a part of my life. I have learnt the art of emoting through my eyes more than using my face and hands. When you emote through your eyes, it speaks volumes. I will say that this role in Shrimad Ramayan has made me a better actor.”
She goes on to add, “I was an eggetarian. I left eating eggs after I got this role. So I can say that this role has changed me as a person too.”
Best of luck!!
