Gaurav Khanna, the dashing young actor who has brought in humungous drama in Star Plus’ popular show Anupamaa with his entry, is looking at spending quality time with his family this Diwali.

Gaurav has been centring in the high-voltage drama that has kickstarted with Anuj Kapadia entering into the life of Anupamaa (Rupali Ganguly).

Says Gaurav, “If we get an off from shoot for Diwali, we will have friends over at home. It will be a low key affair. I and my wife will do the Puja at home. Post that, we will have friends coming over for dinner. We play games and the atmosphere will be festive.”

“My favourite Diwali moment takes me back to my childhood days. When I was 4-5 years, I did not like the firecrackers around me. I used to get perturbed. Later, when I grew up, I really started enjoying the crackers and used to have a jolly time bursting them. But now, I feel that people should not indulge in too much of fire crackers, as it pollutes the environment. The ambience during Diwali is not good for birds and animals on the roads. If you really want to support the firecracker industry, take a phuljhadi and anaar and nothing more,” adds Gaurav.

“I love Diwali. It is my most favourite festival. The dressing up, rangolis, pujas, the weather, friends meeting over, I enjoy everything.”

The significance of Diwali for Gaurav will be, “My prayer during Diwali will be to overcome obstacles and problems. The significance of Diwali for me will be to let go of the bygones and grab the future coming and live in the present.”

“Have a wonderful Diwali. May all your wishes come true. Avoid using a lot of firecrackers’, tells Gaurav as he signs off.

Have a Happy and Prosperous Diwali!!
