She came, she charmed, she conquered the small screen with her acting talent and ravishing look.
She does not need an introduction because everyone knows her achievements. She is one of the most popular faces of Indian television. She ruled with her negative portrayal as Komolika (Kasautii Zindagii Kay) and became a trend setter.
Yes, we are talking about the bold and beautiful Urvashi Dholakia. The thespian, who started her career as a child artist, has come a long way.
Urvashi is set to return to small screen as a negative lead Rani Iravati in Colors’ upcoming show Chandrakanta (Balaji Telefilms).
In conversation with Indianwikimedia, Urvashi spoke about her new journey and challenges.
“Audience won’t see Komolika in Rani Iravati. There is no comparison between both the characters. That was a different character and genre. Chandrakanta is completely a different show and there is no similarity. Although both are negative characters, this one has a different spark,” said Urvashi.
When asked which genre she personally likes on small screen, she quipped, “I am an actor and I would love to do anything that intrigues me.”
The actress seemed pretty confident at the launch press conference of the show, when we asked if she ready for the comparison with Life OK’s ongoing Chandrakanta, she averred, “The fact that we all are here, launching our show and I am giving you interview is a clear indication that we are very very adamant and confident that we are moving ahead with the project. As far as comparison is concerned, I feel this time the ball is in the audience’s court.”
Talking about her reunion with Balaji and Colors, she shared, “It is a home ground for me and I am really excited to be back with Balaji Telefilms and Colors.”
Lastly, Urvashi said everyday is a new learning for her on the set. “Every day we prepare ourselves for a new journey. We all are learning horse riding for the show. I am really looking forward to it.”
We wish Urvashi good luck for her new venture!!
