Popular actor Toral Rasputra is debuting in play. Toral, who was famous portraying Anandi in Balika Vadhu, is busy nowadays in rehearsals for the play I Love You Two written and produced by Sanjay Jha. So where was she all these days?
She says,”During the break period I have been travelling a lot. I am getting a lot of mixed offers, mostly mythological. I want to play a character as strong as Anandi. So I am taking time to think. Also I want a role that I can relate to. It is not that I am purposely not doing television,I have got many offers but sometimes things don’t work out the way you want them to be. And now I really want to do comedy. I am open to all good shows. There is nothing specific in my mind right now. I am very blessed to have got roles which made me progress as an actor right from Dhoom Machao Dhoom to Balika Vadhu.”
The most challenging factor for Anandi was when she stepped in as Anandi and replaced an established actress in the show. She adds,”The most challenging phase was when I signed to play Anandi. The audience were used to the old Anandi who was simply great and it was really hard to fit in her shoes.”
Lastly give us two reasons you would like to give your fans to watch the play. “Firstly, it is my first attempt with a play. Secondly, it is a situational comedy, where you will see a completely different and loud Toral who won’t be crying like Anandi all the time. So it is a different side of Toral that the audience will get to see.”
