Actor Puru Chibber, who plays the role of Tejas Deshmukh in Star Plus and Rahul Tewary, Rolling Tale Productions’ show Udne Ki Aasha, is thrilled to be part of a show that resonates deeply with the audience. In a candid chat, Puru shares insights into his experience on the show and why he believes it is set to be a game-changer for Indian television.

“I think you should go with the story. If the story is strong and everyone connects with it, there is no need to change according to audience preferences,” says Puru, emphasizing the importance of authenticity in storytelling. “If you are confident in your story and it is honest and relatable, the audience will automatically accept it.”

Reflecting on his journey as an actor, Puru acknowledges his growth but remains humble about the road ahead. “I think I am improving. There’s still a long way to go, but I feel I have become better than before. Experience counts, and I believe learning never stops,” he shares. “As an actor, I will always be learning. I don’t think I can ever perfect it, but I am grateful that I remain open to learning and evolving with each role.”

Talking about Udne Ki Aasha, Puru is confident that the show will leave a lasting impact. “It has been evolving beautifully, and I am sure it will be a trendsetter in the coming years. It is one of those rare shows that depict everyday life most authentically” he explains. “Simplicity is the best thing in the world, and I believe our show will reinforce that on television.”

He also appreciates the positive atmosphere on set, crediting it to the strong bond between the cast and crew. “Thankfully, we have like-minded people on set, which makes for a healthy and enjoyable work environment. Good chemistry off-screen is important because it reflects in our performances on-screen.”

With television making a massive comeback, Puru believes Udne Ki Aasha will lead the change. “TV never really went away; it is now returning in a bigger and better way. I am confident our show will be a turning point in the industry,” he concludes.
