The beautiful and ultra-talented singer-actor, Garima Jain, last seen in Shakti, as Vivian Dsena’s sister, will soon return to the tube with an important character in upcoming Colors show titled Internet Wala Love.
This Sphere Origin production is a love triangle, also featuring Shivin Narang (Jai) and newbie, Tunisha Sharma (Aadhya). “We go on the floors this month, and hope to be on air very soon. As the title suggests, it is about internet romance. My character, Aishwarya, is a very hoity-toity, internet-savvy girl, something similar to Kareena Kapoor’s role in Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gum. The other girl, Adhya, is an anti-social.
However, Garima clarifies that her parallel lead character is not negative, “We are young, hip adults, having a good time. I am quite similar to my character in real life. You can say I am 95% her, so I need not copy anyone else. We all were so comfortable in our respective avatars that the makers did not need to organize workshops.”
So, what is your take on finding romance via the net? “Well, since we are not really sure of the identities of many online folks, it would indeed be dangerous to hook up with any one on the digital world.”
Here, Garima adds, “At first I joined Facebook, back in 12, as part of the new wave; but I was not very regular, so would never reply to messages. It is only of late that I have become an Insta regular. I have also created a mirror for Facebook, so that my FB friends know what I am up too as well.”
“Although social media is very good to stay in touch with, yet we need to be careful that we don’t get carried away, like the new Kiki phenomenon. It makes no sense in dancing on the middle of the road. You might get hurt. Have you thought about what will happen to your loved ones?” says Garima, who first came onto the scene with Dosti…Yaariyan…Manmarziyan. She was also a part of StarPlus’ Mahabharat.
“Many fans had requested me to take it up, but I declined, as I don’t want to encourage such reckless actions.”
Nicely said, Garima!!
