Talented actress Farhina Parvez is having a gala time being part of the fantasy tale that she has loved reading in her younger days!!
Farhina is presently essaying the role of Piddi in SAB TV’s popular show, Aladdin – Naam Toh Suna Hoga. The show is being produced remarkably well by Peninsula Pictures.
Says Farhina who has earlier done shows like Navya, Ishaan, Qubool Hai, Yum Hai Hum etc, “The show is amazingly shot. Kids like watching Aladdin. My character is very interesting and as you know, Piddi is the connecting link between Aladdin and Yasmin. While Piddi loves to be in the company of Aladdin (Siddharth Nigam) and has a crush on him, she is also a very good friend of Yasmin. So I am enjoying my part.”
Farhina is more like her on-screen character in real life. “I am like Piddi, very energetic and bubbly. So it has been a cake walk playing the character. Piddi is a charming girl. The character holds prominence as she is seen in the house sequences as well as the ones in the palace.”
Farhina is friendly off the screen with co-actors Siddharth Nigam and Avneet Kaur. “All the three of us are like very good friends. I am all the time with Avneet and she’s so cool. Avneet is a very talented girl; she is in fact the Queen of Tik Tok (Smiles). We are all good pranksters on the set and have our share of fun.”
Ask her what the best part of playing Piddi is and she is quick to say, “Piddi is very innocent, genuine and attached with Yasmeen and her family. They have been together since childhood. Piddi is actually a fictionalized character; this character was not in the tale that we have read. I was happy to have bagged this role.”
The set on which Farhina shoots for Aladdin holds a special place in her heart. “In fact, this is the third show that I am shooting on the same set (Navya and Yum Hai Hum). I know Maan Sir our Director for a long time and this is my third show with him.”
Farhina who has attempted various genres says, “It is important for an artist to play different characters. I played a dumb girl in Navya, while Nuzrat in Qubool Hai was calm and collective. Waaris was a big show for me, as I played an insane character there. Now, Piddi is also a big role for me. The show is doing really well and we hope to have a long journey with the show.”
Way to go, Farhina!!
