Bubbly beauty Akshita Mudgal, who is ruling audience hearts as Gayatri in SAB TV’s show Bhakharwadi, wants her show to be a legendary one.
“Bhakharwadi is a breather. I believe there are a lot of shows on Indian television that have a lot of negativity. Like we see, their dialogues are only about seeking revenge or killing someone or the bahus crying. However, on the other hand, Bhakharwadi is a family-oriented show that gives a lesson in the end and inculcates good values. The show has a mix of all – romance, drama, comedy, emotions. All age groups, from 6 to 60, can watch this show,” says the actress.
She continues, “I have been a fan of Hats Off shows. I have watched Baa Bahu Aur Baby, Khichadi and Sarabhai vs Sarabhai. They all are legendary shows and people still miss them. The audience wants them to be back on screen. I want Bhakharwadi to be remembered in a similar way. I want it to be a legendary show.”
When asked about how she bagged the series, she says, “I am blessed to have bagged this project. It is my first show as a lead actress and it has been a great experience working for the show till now. There is a twist to the story of me being part of the show. So I had auditioned for a show but I did not bag it. I was very disappointed. Soon, I got a call for Bhakharwadi and I auditioned for it and the show landed in my kitty. I feel it was in my destiny. There is not much difference in my real and reel personality, hence it was quite easy to play the character.”
Lastly, commenting on working with great actors on set, she shares, “I am happy to work around some great personalities of television. They have been in the industry for years, and their experience helps us learn every day. It is like a learning experience. I do adopt a lot of things from them while working with them.”
Well said, girl!
