To-be bride Rubina Dilaik gets into a conversation with IWMBuzz.com

Bride-to-be Rubina Dilaik is all set to walk down the aisle with her ‘special’ man Abhinav Shukla on 21 June!!

Rubina is presently looking into all the nitty-gritty of the wedding preparations, from venues to food choices to decors, to her outfits as well as Abhinav’s…

Says Rubina, “There is no time to sit back and relax. The preparations are keeping us busy; also we are busy shooting for our shows. There is so much on the tick-on list; I am looking into everything.”

Giving a special mention on the venue in Shimla that will host the wedding, Rubina states, “The wedding will happen in the Palace in Shimla, which is a property of Heritage. I always wanted my wedding to be a fairy tale wedding, and so will I have it (smiles). In the open, a day wedding is what I had always preferred and I look forward to now. The beauty of the palace will only make the wedding more special.”

On the Ludhiana reception, Rubina avers, “That is being taken care of by Abhinav’s family. It is going to be my welcome there. They have kept it as a surprise till now.”

The bride-to-be sits back and reveals her feeling in the best words possible. “I want to celebrate him and welcome him as part of my life and family. Taking this journey ahead as two strong individuals is what I look forward to when I marry the man I want.”

Rubina who is busy shooting for her show Shakti – Astitiva Ke Ehsaas Ki will leave for her mehendi ritual on 18 June and will be back on the set post her wedding, on 26th of this month.

Talking about the gathering meant to thank the industry fraternity on 28th of this month in Mumbai, Rubina quips, “The idea is to have a gathering of our friends, colleagues and people from the professional circle. It will be a way to thank them, for being part of our lives professionally. As my mom says, wedding gives us an opportunity to thank all friends, relatives and everyone who have been part of our journey.  So we take it like that.”

Rubina does not see marriage as a process of ‘detaching’ from her family and getting ‘attached’ to the family she gets into. “My parents and family will be part of my life as much as they are today. I will be embracing Abhinav’s family; I will take both the familes together.”

All the best, Rubina.. Have a happy future ahead with your man!!
