At a time when many celebs are posting cookery video as means to beat the Coronavirus lockdown blues, Iris Maity, last seen in Kulfi Kumar Baajewala is posting workout videos online.
“I have always been an exercise gal; I remember as a child, I would run a lot being an athlete. One feels nice after a strenuous fat burning session. In the current scenario of uncertainty and having nothing else to do, people get stressed, so work is the best way to pep up your mood again. My workout videos are my bit towards motivating folks to exercise as most are clueless about what to do, ” says this gal whose first to call to fame was Bigg Boss Bangla (2013).
Talking about her video routine, she says, “I do a lot of legs (squat). I concede my lower body is more robust than my upper torso. I hardly use weight as I don’t have dumbbells at home.”
Iris is missing her gym big time, “but then everybody is facing cold turkey in whatever form. I justs want to remain fit and not mop around.”
When we ask about grooming before shooing the above video, she says, “ I don’t apply any makeup, and neither do I fret over gym attire as long as it is decent. If you see my latest video, my outfit’s colors ( green and black) did not match as well.”
Here interestingly, Iris claimed not to have gone to a salon for months at end. “I am an elementary girl and a tomboy at that.”
She replies this to our question of how women will be dealing with beauty parlors shut down, and can exercise help to retain the freshness of the skin?
In closing Iris, also admits that when she is shooting for a daily soap (Nagarjuna – Ek Yoddha, and Prem Ya Paheli – Chandrakanta), she hardly gets time to hit the gym, “so I work out in my makeup room or vanity van.”
