Popular actress Divyanka Tripathi is gearing up to yet again come out of her comfort zone and experiment with newer territories as an actor and celebrity. This time the chosen work is Colors’ adventure-based show, Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi Season 11. Divyanka is all excited to present her adventurous streak through the show and also dare it out with all the fears and tensions of being part of such a happening high-adventure show.
When asked Divyanka about always trying newer things as an actor, she says with all humility, “I am humbled. I think it is because of the variety of work that I have chosen, the diversity in work that I have chosen to work for. I always tried not to repeat the same kind of character again. I took up challenges to the extent of not even being sure of whether I will be able to deliver it or not. But I tried, I learned, molded myself according to the character and it just worked. It is all about believing in what you can do. And this has led me to what I am today.”
Ask her whether she is scared of this new exposure in Khatron Ke Khiladi, and Divyanka avers, “Yes, I am scared. And that exactly makes the journey worthwhile and exciting. Where else will I deliberately put myself in danger? When else will I attempt to conquer my fears? So this is the opportunity. I am pretty excited, actually.
On the expectations from the show, Divyanka explains, “I want to perform as many stunts as possible with great success. I want to remember them for years to come and tell those stories to my grandchildren.”
On her ideas of a return to acting, Divyanka confides, “I want to be part of good quality web shows. I am just keeping my fingers crossed. I am a total OTT audience. I am really hooked on it. I feel the quality is quite daring and out of the box. They take chances. They are unabashed. Thankfully, they are not so much driven by TRPs and box office expectations. So they work with freedom, I would say.”
Ask her about her Bollywood ambitions and Divyanka opens up, saying, “I have got a good list of female filmmakers actually. I would like to work with Zoya Akhtarji, Reema Kagtiji, Gauri Shindeji, Meghna Gulzarji, Nandita Dasji. I have seen their work and loved it so much. When I watch those movies, I get a feeling that this is where I want to start my film career. So I hope that someday I get to work with them.”
The KKK stint will mean that for the first time after the marriage, you will be away from Vivek Dahiya for long. How does it feel? “It is not easy for both of us, for Vivek and I to be away for such a long time. I doubt if we have ever been away for so long. So we are actually preparing each other step by step. I am ordering additional groceries for him so that he is comfortable. He is taking care of every item in my luggage and seeing to it that I have every kind of outfit and necessities with me. It’s going to be a very difficult phase for both of us. We have shed tears and have given extra love to each other.”
Best of luck, Divyanka!!
