I want to play one of the characters of a very strong and powerful woman from the industry: Rashami Desai

Bigg Boss, India’s biggest reality show has proved to be a career-defining opportunity for commoners and celebrities alike. Over the years, we have seen enough and more contestants turn overnight stars, such is the impact of Bigg Boss. Now in the latest video of Unseen Undekha on VOOT, Rashami Desai is seen speaking her heart out. In an intense conversation with Vishal, Rashami reveals ‘Mujhe bahut kuch karna hai acting mein. I want to play one of the characters of a very strong and powerful woman from the industry,’ and further names popular personalities like Rashami Sharma, Ekta Kapoor, Shweta Tiwari and Kangana Ranaut.

Responding to this, Vishal mentions, ‘Koi film ya kuch toh aa raha hai na jismein Ekta Kapoor ka character likha hai kisine. Disha Patani play kar rahi hai Ekta Kapoor.’ Rashami then goes on to talk about her struggle and shares ‘Ek phase tha jab mujhe genuinely bahut sare paiso ki zaroorat bhi thi aur kamaney bhi the. Ab mujhe na, genuinely kaam karna hai bahut accha, woh jo main nahi kar paayi hun aajtak. Mujhe jeena hai.’

Not only this, she goes on to spill some beans on her professional stint in the Television Industry and confesses ‘Meko koi farak nahi padta lekin main kaam se gaddari nahi kar sakti. Toh maine kiya hai aur uska result aaya hai touchwood.’ Rashami continues the monolog ‘But mujhe woh ek journey hoti hai na actor ki, mujhe who jeeni hai ab. Mujhe Muhgal-E-Azam play and Aladdin 3D ye saari cheezein karni hai mera mann hai.’

On hearing Rashami’s desire, Vishal encourages her and says ‘Hoga dheere dheere hoga na. Kya hota hai Television se nikalne mein hi time lagta hai iske liye ki itna kaam hota hai na life itni busy ho jaati hai.’ Rashami then tells Vishal, ‘I am not comparing. Mujhe TV bhi accha lagta hai lekin TV mein kya hai na behasbaazi bahut ho jaati hai.’ Later, during the end of the conversation Rashami confesses ‘I don’t know, as an actor mujhe lagta hai ki main bahut bandhi hui thi.’

Well, looks like Rashami is all set to start her second innings as an actor, but now clearly wants to work for herself and portray strong women centric roles.
