Wanted to be part of the one-of-its-kind concept of Bhootiya Saas: Vibhav Roy on his new show Meri Saas Bhoot Hai 765551

Vibhav Roy is back after a hiatus on our television screens. The actor who played popular roles in TV shows Gustakh Dil, Doli Armaanon Ki, Kuch Toh Hai Tere Mere Darmiyaan etc, is now back in a very different lead role, in Star Bharat’s new show Meri Saas Bhoot Hai.

Says Vibhav, “The concept of the show is very unique. Having a Bhootiya Saas is very rare. I have been informed that this is the first time it is ever happening in the history of Indian television. Just wanted to be part of this mad caper ride.”

The story revolves around three ladies placed in between the lead guy. Talking about this concept, Vibhav states, “Yes, there are my grandmother, mother and my partner. I am absolutely enveloped in this drama, and the eccentricity that is happening between these three ladies. I am the one who brings a touch of logic and calmness to the camaraderie that these ladies show.”

On most of the TV shows being women-oriented, Vibhav explains, “Yes, I do believe in that. I am told that the largest audience base is that of women. It is very important to be relatable to the largest demographic. It has been that way, and it will continue to be so.”

Talking more about his character, Vibhav states, “Som is a happy-go-lucky guy from Banaras. He is probably the only person with his head on his shoulders. He is way more mature than his dadi, mother and wife put together. That is what makes him different and even shine in this mad caper.”

On the USP of the show, he elaborates, “It is the concept of the Bhootiya Saas. It is not just one generation, but two generation of saas-bahu drama.”

Ask him about his expectations, Vibhav says, “I hope for the best. We have put in a lot of hard work, sweat, blood and tears into the making of this show. I hope the audience reciprocates all that love and much more. Fingers crossed, we are hopefully going to kill it.”

Best of luck, Vibhav!!
