Web space gives actors more of the creative freedom: Shraddha Musale

Actress Shraddha Musale, popularly known as Dr. Tarika of CID is looking at the web space to be part of meaningful and realistic shows.

After enjoying 11 years run with CID, Shraddha has dabbled at some interesting avatars on TV, the last being Porus again on Sony TV.

Says Shraddha, “I had 11 years with CID and it was a very good run for me. Porus was also a very good show for me. I joined CID when I was a baby. I could not speak a line; I have done four or five shows along with CID. But web performance and TV performance are very different. So I wanted to try my luck on the digital platform. Web space gives more creative freedom to actors.”

Shraddha will be happy to do more of the web projects. In fact, she is doing a web-series at present, the details of which she does not want to share.

Ask her if she will be game for bold roles on the web and she states, “I don’t know what to say. We actually look up to the western content. We praise their content. This is also part of it, and we need to accept it. But the problem is that few shows are made with the basic theme as sex. If shows with good content have an element of s*x here and there, it is certainly acceptable. Having said this, I honestly don’t know how I will react. I have no clue whether I will take it or refuse it. When you meet the people concerned, you get an idea of what they have in mind. I am good at judging people (smiles). When the time will come, I will take a call.”

Finally, we could not stop ourselves from asking her about the future of CID and she states, “Well, 21 years of CID was huge. There is no other show which has had that big a success story. But yes, with time, everything needs a revamp. It will be nice if CID comes with a newer format.”

“Porus was also a very good experience for me. I am glad to have been part of such a big show made on a huge canvas,” states Shraddha.

Way to go, Shraddha!!
