Anjum Fakih the talented actress is today’s girl who is confident, independent, and smart in her choices and decisions. Anjum has had a flourishing career and is presently working wonders in the role of Srishti in Kundali Bhagya the Zee TV show produced by Balaji Telefilms.
On the occasion of Women’s Day, Anjum gives us her thoughts about the real significance of the day. “Empowering women shouldn’t be something that should be done on a particular day or occasion. Being a woman is an everyday struggle, with life throwing new challenges and situations at us. In my opinion, the real significance of the day is to celebrate the never-die-spirit of every woman around us. As a society, we need to collectively work towards providing equal opportunities for women and stop victimizing them. Women are capable of doing much more and we need to encourage them and stand by them.”
Anjum will surely want to be reborn as a woman. “Why not? I would definitely love to be reborn as a woman again. Women are selfless, powerful and the various roles that a woman portrays at different stages in her life are commendable. She is an instrument to bring life into this universe, what can be more beautiful and satisfying than that?”
“During my formative years, my mother has been a source of inspiration to me. She has taught me to be more strong-willed and grounded and I believe I have inherited these qualities from her. Also, the women around me, my colleagues, and friends continue to inspire me to become a better individual every day.”
On her thoughts on women, she states, “Things have changed a lot for the better over the past few decades. Women have found their voice and are more independent. I have seen such strong women emerge from the shadows over the past few years, young girls who are not afraid to speak their minds. I feel, although we live in a man’s world, women are the queens who rule the world!”
On her personal goals, Anjum quips, “Whether you are a man or woman doesn’t matter, one should always aim to become a better person. As an individual, it has always been my endeavor to do good, and stand by what is right. Karma is a real thing, what you put out there in the universe, comes back to you. Hence, I always believe in spreading positivity.”
She has strong advice for women, “Be yourself, hold your head up high, and go chase your dreams. Life is short, live your dreams and look forward to a bright future that is filled with respect, love, and the zeal to do better!”
Anjum, wish you a very Happy Women’s Day!!
