After impressing one and all with his very evil avatar in & TV show Waaris, Angad Hasija is on the look for more performance based characters.
“At this stage of my 10 years long, I will not settle for anything run of the mill,” says Angad in a chat with IndianWikiMedia.
Interestingly, Angad who had done a bold photo shoot a while back says, “Somehow those pics have returned to attention. I just got a couple of calls asking if I would be game for full Monty in films or web. Being an actor and not a nude artist, I turned it down.”
“The only reason why I had agreed to the above shoot last year was that I wanted to showcase my different side to the world. Also if you work so hard on your body, why not flaunt it? Having said that, it was shot classically and did not look vulgar. My biggest fear was that will it not turn off my family audiences who have always seen me as a good boy. But then an artist needs to grow and luckily most loved it. Likewise, my family was hesitant when I again broke the mould taking on this nasty man avatar in Waaris. I am also open for edgy web series as the story boards are free of TV grammar restrictions. ”
As part of his continuing experiments, he might toy with the idea of more bold photoshoots even with female co-artists. “It would have to boil down to the concept and creative geniuses of the snapper.”
Will his better half Pari not mind? “She has been with my for 10 long years and knows me inside out.”
