Working with Jaya Prada is a privilege: Ayush Anand

Television actor Ayush Anand, who has entertained masses with his previous roles in Ishqbaaaz and Tu Sooraj Mein Saanjh Piyaji, is now portraying the character of Pushkar Rathore in &TV’s Perfect Pati produced by FilmFarm India.

Set against the backdrop of Rajasthan, Perfect Pati will take viewers through the life of Vidhita, who like many young girls dreams of an idealistic image of her prospective partner. Her approach towards life and situations is in complete contrast to that of Pushkar’s, a rich, attractive and aggressively over-protective man.

We got in touch with the handsome man Ayush, who spoke about his character, show and working with veteran actress Jaya Prada.

“My character is called Pushkar Rathore in the series. It is a very different character. When this role was narrated to me I could visualize the depth of the character. I agreed to do the show because I loved the concept a lot; it is a fresh one on Indian TV. Audience will see Jaya Prada ma’am making her debut on TV with this show and a fresh pair too,” says Ayush.

He further shares, “I really feel that my previous shows Ishqbaaaz and Tu Sooraj helped me bag this show as a male lead. Viewers have loved me in my earlier shows; I hope they shower the same kind of love on my new project. I will give my best and would entertain audience. To keep myself updated, I work on my body, face, diction and acting skills. I stay positive always and that keeps me going.”

Talking about sharing screen space with Jaya Prada, he avers, “She is humble, sweet, caring. It is a privilege to work with her and share screen space. I am grateful to the makers for that. Having said that, I was initially nervous as she is a huge star in India, people respect her for her immense body of work. She made us comfortable on the very first day of shoot. She is a gem of a person.”

Lastly, he says, “My first audience is my director. I am a director’s actor. He is the captain of the shop and I have been lucky to be blessed with encouraging directors in my life. They have always given me freedom to improvise and give my best shot.”

Good luck Ayush for your new endeavour!
