With Star Plus fantasy show Yehh Jadu Hai Jinn Ka! becoming the #1 GEC show this week, all the hard-working actors of the show are obviously very happy. It is no mean feat that this Four Lions show, which has just started in Oct, has raced ahead in a short period of time.
We first spoke to lead actress Aditi Sharma, who despite being in a hurry, had the following to say, “I am very thankful to all the fans whose love and affection has made us number 1. The whole team is working very hard to keep u happy, so keep loving us.”
Garima Vikrant Singh, who plays Roshni’s (Aditi) mother Salma, gave full credit to producer Gul Khan, director Atif Khan and writer Mrinal Jha for coming up with such a great show. “The story is so edgy that one does not know what will happen next. The CG element is superb.Aditi is a very sweet gal and we get along like a house on fire.”
“I sure hope that the show gets an extension. Reports suggest that the show will wrap up on Feb 28, completing its 100 episode run,” ended Garima.
Seema Azmi, who plays the dim-witted aunt Baby Khan, says, “I am thankful to Gul for having yet again given me a light hearted. role after Is Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon 3. Normally, I mostly get serious roles. Gul and her team know exactly what they want i.e. creating a fantasy world to the T. Also, the casting of the leads is spot on with Vikram Singh Chauhan and Aditi.”
“Being part of a hit show also gives us wings, as our work is seen by a larger audience base. We always knew that we have a hit on our hands, but no one thought that we would become #1 so fast”.
In closing, Seema talks about fan clamour for an extension. “No clue, but but even if the creative do end it, it would be fine, for the show was always planned as a 100-episode series, which would mean we have a proper ending.”
