Yuvraj Pillai of Yeh Hai Chahatein can make people laugh, at the same time hate him: Siddharth Sihvpuri

Siddharth Shivpuri the talented actor is so very accomplished in playing the negative role of Yuvraj Pillai in the popular Star Plus show Yeh Hai Chahatein.

This Balaji Productions show is doing really well with the masses. And Siddharth plays the key role of Yuvraj who has always been instrumental in adding up to the pain of the lead characters Preesha (Sargun Kaur Luthra) and Rudraksh (Abrar Qazi).

For a change now, in the ongoing track, he is the protector and savior for Rudraksh and Preesha.

Ask Siddharth on the varied layers that he has gotten to play in this one character, and he is quick to say, “Being a villain in a show is never easy because you just get hated and nobody wants you. Hence it took me some time to figure out how I can make this villain entertaining and loved at the same time. I tried different things and saw what was working and what was not. And slowly I got to this point where I knew this was it. So yeah it is never easy; you need to find your own way and uniqueness.”

On getting utmost satisfaction as an actor, Siddharth explains, “Satisfaction for an actor means the death of his growth. I will never be satisfied with what I do; I will always strive to do better and improve my skills, polish them, and then there is a chance that I might get satisfied (smiles).”

Tell him that the loyal viewers of Yeh Hai Chahatein love to hate him, and Siddharth gives us a crisp answer, “I love all the attention that I get. Not many people get an opportunity to be loved, especially when you already know all you do as negative is killing, planning, plotting against the leads (which are loved to the core). Having said that, it is a pleasant surprise that people are enjoying watching my character and loving it, no matter whatever I do. I hope they love him till the end.”

It is a total family ambiance on the set of Yeh Hai Chahatein. “The whole cast has been really supportive and loving. We bond well, help and look out for each other we have our crazy times too.”

Ask Siddharth if he sees this role as the best role in his career to date and he avers, “Well, it’s been the most challenging role. It’s never easy to make people laugh, yet hate him at the same time. So this is the best aspect of Yuvraj Pillai. So in that regards yes this has been the best so far where I am getting to explore my own self and my capabilities.”

Siddharth’s message to the loyal viewers of the show will be, “I hope they keep showering their love for the show like they have been doing so far and help us rise even higher.”
