Review of Colors’ Ram Siya Ke Luv Kush

Swastik Productions the production house that has entertained us with the likes of Mahabharata,  Radha Krishna, Porus and many more, has now brought to us Ram Siya Ke Luv Kush a magnum opus mythological that tell us the story from the lens of Luv & Kush.

The opening of episode is GRAND. It brings a smile on your face to watch the lamps and the happiness feel around. To the audience in Metros and beyond, this is certainly eye catching. The grandeur of the sets, the umpteen no of diya being used, festive mood is definitely a treat to the eyes. Background score and Udit Narayan’s melodious voice adds to the total feel good of the opening episode. Perfect casting of the starcast as if they have been made for this show itself is the icing on the cake.

From episode 1 itself there is never a dull moment, as the story moves at a pace which it ideally should. It does not talk too much of the Ram Vanvas and the past. It solely concentrates on the present situation at Ram Rajya’s Ayodhya. So one would have heard of the story that Ram overhears the dhobi saying “I am not as great as Ram even after Sita has stayed at Ravan’s lanka for months”. But here it has been depicted very well by way of Sita being a strong woman who stands by her rights as a woman.

The relationship between Ram & Sita has been effectively brought out which can be of great influence to any common household. There is a mutual respect for each other in every sense. Why I am saying this, since the show’s reach is also to tier 2, 3 cities, the message emanating from here for these markets is very critical.

Songs have been beautifully interspersed which keeps a viewer hooked on. Sita’s powerful dialogues – As a Queen I have to sacrifice” it’s her decision to go on Vanvas which is delivered with lot of conviction. Sita has been depicted as Woman Of Substance. A woman with poise and does not get deterred by what people think about her. This is a good strong message.

Actors Himanshu Soni and Shivya Pathania as Ram and Sita look Godly and divine. And their acting prowess is unmatched. Child actors Harshit Kabra and Krish Chauhan as Luv and Kush are remarkable. Zuber Ali and Naavi Banghu are apt for their parts.

The overall show depicts good values and the innocence mixed with good measure of naughtiness of Luv & Kush brings in freshness to the show. Overall, a promising show to look forward to and hope the way it has begun it remains so.

Lot of expectations from Siddharth Kumar Tewary and team Swastik Productions. Lets’ see how it progresses.
