Review of Star Bharat show Channa Mereya: Prefect Blend Of Interesting Plot And Performance

IWMBuzz.com reviews Star Bharat show Channa Mereya

Yash and Mamta Patnaik’s Beyond Dreams is a storehouse of talent. After giving hit shows namely Ek Veer Ki Ardaas…Veera, Sadda Haq, Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi, and Ishq Mein Marjawan, the production house recently launched a new series Channa Mereya on Star Bharat.

The show features two main leads, one of whom is Karan Wahi, who plays the character of Aditya, a 27-year-old man who aspires to be one of the world’s largest hoteliers. He is on a quest for significance and meaning in his life, and he finds the answers in a girl he despises. Niyati Fatnani, on the other hand, plays the role of ‘Ginni,’ a vivacious girl who is full of life. She lives in her own little bubble of chaos and is desperate for a resolution for her family and the missing feeling of love. Ginni and her family run a Dhaba in Amritsar.

Merely a week old, the drama has managed to create its own position, drawing accolades from fans. Karan is back with a bang. The first glimpse of the male lead Karan, who plays the role of Aditya, was indeed hot. The guy with his fitness freak body has already left us drooling and we are now curious to see more of his chemistry with Niyati. Karan has already charmed audiences with his acting chops in his previous projects and we hope he gets loved in this new journey too. Niyati, on the other hand, is playing the role of a simple girl to the T, looking very beautiful in traditional outfits. Her command of the Punjabi language, diction, and avatar is all up to the mark.

Apart from the leads, the talented cast which includes Puneet Issar, Shakti Anand, and Chef Harpal Singh Sokhi will surprise you too with their roles. The cast of this show is actually its strength and their performances are testimony to this. The story is well executed with perfectly defined characters that are different yet relatable.

This show is a complete package of the perfect storyline, the right amount of intrigue, and performances that will keep you hooked. What disappointed us in the first episode was Ginni and Aditya’s first hit-and-miss meeting. The overdramatic car accident and the visual effects around the same were not up to the mark.

Overall we enjoyed watching Channa Mereya. From the dialogues to the direction to the acting, everything has been in place. The daily comes across as a breath of fresh air on TV. And may the show have a good run. We, at IWMBuzz, would rate it 3.5/5.
