The beautiful actress-singer, Garima Jain, who got lots of accolades for her character in Shakti — Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ka, has stepped out of her new show, Internet Wala Love, again on Colors.
She was first supposed to play a strong parallel lead character, apart from the hero (Shivin Narang) and the heroine (Tunisha Sharma).
Garima confirmed the same, saying, “I had a quick word with the producer (Sphere Origins), for the character was not panning out as promised. After the success of Shakti, I am looking at very juicy characters. They very graciously got my point and eased me out. I had no other issue; it was a good set up and I was also paid well. We will surely work together again in the future if something mutually beneficial comes up.”
Sources add that as the show has not opened well (first week was 1, now down to 0.9), as a result of which major changes have been added to the script, which have taken away the original essence. Keeping public preferences in mind, the original digital love story is making way for more family fun.
Garima refused to comment on the story line, saying, “That is not my brief. I just quit for I was not happy with my character, Aishwarya, as stated above.”
Looking ahead, Garima is open to interesting strong characters in films and web series. “I am glad to have come at a time when small screen actors are no longer looked down upon. Just to be clear, I have not quit TV; for me, the character and graph is most important and not the medium. I have definitely grown as an actor from my first TV show. I also wish to pay more attention to my music. It is my mom’s dream that I do something vocally.”
“As an actor, I am also working on myself, and very soon, you will see Garima in a never-before avatar.” She has no qualms about taking on a bold role if the script requires it. “An artist should be open to all kind of challenges,” she says.
