Actor Afzaal Khan who featured in shows Sadda Haq, Piya Rangrezz, and Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani has bagged a challenging role in Colors’ new show, Vish Ya Amrit: Sitaara produced by Rashmi Sharma Productions.
The versatile actor was on the lookout for a challenging role and has bagged a meaty one here.
Afzaal will essay the role of Raja Atharva Singh Rathore who will be the father of the parallel lead, Vaishali Takkar.
The story will revolve around a love triangle between Sitaara (Adaa Khan), Raj Mittal (Arhaan Behll) and Vaishali’s character.
As per a reliable source, “Afzaal’s character will be strong and will be negative. He will be a close friend of Raja Ratan Singh (Shakti Anand), father of Raj.”
When contacted, Afzaal told us, “Yes, I am thankful to Colors and Rashmi M’aam for giving me this character. I have always believed in accepting new challenges in terms of roles and have never taken any role just for the heck of it. This explains why I was not seen on screen post my stints in Piya Rangrezz, and Ek Tha Raja. This is a very challenging role and I am happy to be doing it.”
