StarPlus show Anupamaa, produced by Rajan Shahi, stars Rupali Ganguly and Gaurav Khanna in the lead role. The show has often topped the TRP charts since the premiere of the show back in July 2020. However, the recent exit of the popular character Vanraj, played by Shudhanshu Pandey, left the audience confused. On top of that, the character of Kavya, played by Madalsa Sharma, also left the show, creating a huge buzz. In a recent interview, the actress expressed some juicy insights, including co-star Rupali Ganguly’s behavior.
In an interview with Youtuber Siddharth Kannan, Madalsa Sharma shared details about the first person she told about her exit. The actress said, ” Bapuji, the person playing Bapuji in the show. So with him, I share a fatherly bond, so I was discussing with him lately that I’m thinking to leave and all that. So when I finally decided to do it, I told him first.”
Further, Madalsa, justifying her statement about calling Rupali Ganguly a two-faced person, said, “The first thing the audience sees you the same way they see your character. So if you are playing Lord Ram, then the audience will see you as Ram because they have seen you like that, and you have performed like that, and it’s natural because we are actors. So no matter how much I elaborate, ultimately, one can never make others understand your feelings because there is a set perception.”
She added about Rupali Ganguly, “I felt like a couple of times that the person in front of me was not the same behind my back. Behind my back, things were not said in a polished way, and when I got to know, I was hurt because the first thing, I had nothing against you.”
When Siddharth asked those actors having issues with Rupali Ganguly choosing to leave the show, Madalsa shared, “I have heard so much about that, but one thing is that Rupali is Anupamaa is playing the role, but she is not the heart show that people leave, the show because of her.”
