In a fickle as a pickle kind of scenario wherein Indian television consuming audience swaps through content like checking out a restaurant menu, it is indeed laudable for the team at Life OK to have doled out content which has created a niche, a loyal set of audience, ensuring genre supremacy and clocking 5 successful years of airtime.
Yes, the crime awareness drive concept from the stables of Star India, under the umbrella of its relatively newer broadcasting offshoot Life OK, completed five years in business on 23 April and we must state that it deserves a standing ovation.
Savdhaan India found its direct competition in an equally popular show Crime Patrol on rival Sony Networks.
However, absolute creative genius, diversifying story-telling and apt execution not only ensured its market sustenance, but also thumped its authority in the space.
Over the years, multiple production houses have weaved episodics for the show aptly guided by talented anchors spearheaded by the meticulous Sushant Singh. Others notable mentions include Pooja Gor, Sakshi Tanwar, Gaurav Chopraa among others who hosted in different seasons.
One person who has been part of the project since its inception and helped it grow with relentless hardwork is Baljit Chaddha, project head at Savdhaan India.
When Indianwikimedia congratulated him, he said with beaming smile: “Yes, 23 April 2012. Still remember that day. Been a fun journey for all of us. A big congratulations to the whole team at Savdhaan India. Life OK team, writers, directors, editors, music team, creative team, the unit, and the producers. Bas karva yuhin chalet rahein (let the journey continue) (sic).”
Many more years of success to team Savdhaan India!!!
