TV actor Arushi Mehta has finally got hitched to her long time beau Pargat Sodhi.

The couple’s last 24th of April marriage plan could not go through due to COVID -19 lockdown.

The beautiful and talented actor confirmed the same on Facebook with the following post.

We reached out to Arushi who said, “Rather than wait for a court marriage we decided to have a simple house wedding. The required police permissions were taken. It was a simple affair (Gujarati and Sikh traditions) involving not more than five people. Pargat’s family could not attend as they are stuck back in Punjab. We first planned to postponed the wedding, but then we were not getting auspicious dates till the rains, and then the arrival of winter could mean a resurgence of the pandemic.  So, we then  decided not to wait any longer.”

Interestingly readers will remember that Arushi could not exit Mumbai’s neighboring Palghar district where she had gone for some work, ever since lockdown, “Pargat had been trying for a long time to get me out.  Eventually, mom and I got an exit pass, but we had to pack and leave in just three hours.  But all’s well that ends well. I am thrilled to start a fresh life.  It feels very nice to get so many blessings on social media.”

In closing, when asked about possible honeymoon plans, she quipped, “We are planning to go to the Maldives but only next year.‍”

Wish the couple a long and happy married life.
