Fans of popular star, Sanaya Irani need to wait longer for their favourite to cast her magical spell in her next next fiction show!!
The reason being that the Yash Patnaik much-awaited show, Kavya Ki Prarthna which had Sanaya playing the titular role of a girl going through a complex hyperactivity syndrome has been scrapped.
Yes, you heard it right!!
The show which was to beam on Sony TV had gone on floor in the last few weeks. And after the shoot of nearly four episodes, the channel has apparently decided to not beam the show, as they felt the show might not work on the channel.
Kavya Ki Prarthna was supposed to be a huge show for the lead actors!! For Sanaya, her last pilot with Full House Media, titled Meenu Mausi got scrapped and the actress was not considered for the Star Plus love saga, Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon 3. She is presently seen on the dance floor of Nach Baliye with hubby and actor Mohit Sehgal. But it has been a while since Sanaya has been seen in a fiction project.
Also, Namik Paul who basks in the glory of his earlier Sony show Ek Duje Ke Vaaste had almost signed a Fireworks Productions show for Star Plus, but later chose to do this particular show.
But now it seems like both Sanaya and Namik have to go through the ordeal again, of choosing their next fiction project.
Our sources tell us, “The shoot of Kavya Ki Prarthna has been stopped with the production house being briefed about this unfortunate development of the show not seeing dawn.”
We buzzed Producer Yash Patnaik, but did not get through to him.
We also reached out to Sanaya and Namik, but did not get revert.
The channel spokesperson said, “The show is not getting scrapped.”
