Bigg Boss 18 started off with a unique endeavour, by having a special guest in the house as the 19th contestant to enter the house. That was Gadhraj, the donkey which has bagged all the limelight for its presence in the opening week of the show.

Now, Gadhraj has been evicted and is the first contestant to get out of the house. There is a big reason behind the eviction. Recently, PETA criticized the show’s creators, highlighting the inappropriateness of using an animal for entertainment in the show. The host of the show Salman Khan also received a letter of objection. PFA (People for Animals) also raised a voice against the animal being caged in the house. This lead to the makers deciding to let go of the animal.

In the episode aired on Sunday, the host Salman Khan was seen announcing that Gadhraj will be the first evicted contestant from the house. For the uninitiated, Gadhraj is a pet belonging to Gunaratna who willingly brought the animal into the house. With Gadhraj being evicted this week, the nominated contestants were announced to be safe and no other elimination happened.

The nominated contestants over the first week were Muskan Bamne, Gunaratna Sadavarte, Avinash Mishra, Chahat Pandey, Karanveer Mehra. They were declared to be safe soon after Gadhraj getting out of the house.

The drama shifts to the new week and there is certainly a lot to look forward to!!
