BCL or Box Cricket League, where most popular TV actors play soft ball cricket amidst lot of drama is back with its third season. But this time as well, it has changed hands albeit within the same network.
If the first season was telecast on Sony, its second avatar came on Colors. Now this time it will feature on MTV.
According to a source, there will be no new team added to the previous 10 squads.
The concept creator Sunny Arora refused to give out more detail sayings, “It was like home coming and BCL is youth and MTV also speaks to the youth. So it is a perfect combination.”
For the uninitiated, both the previous seasons have been won by Delhi Dragons captained by Karan Wahi.
The fact that the show has moved from Colors to MTV means that the property owned by Ekta Kapoor has so far failed to deliver. To be fair Colors head Raj Nayak had said that they were in the game for the long haul.
Ratings in the first season were not much to write home about. Colors had given it a weekend Sunday slot which did not click well.
Only time will tell whether the BCL Box Cricket League will create magic in its third season. Or not!!
Let’s gear up for the cricket extravaganza on MTV.
