Congratulations: Blackpink’s Jennie becomes first Korean idol to debut in American drama series

BLINKS going crazy after seeing Blackpink member Jennie in the HBO trailer of 'The Idol'.

Social media and fans went over the moon with excitement after they got to see Blackpink’s Jennie’s first appearance in the trailer of HBO series ‘The Idol’, produced by The Weeknd. BLINKS were delighted after seeing Jennie in the trailer and have flooded social media with admirable posts.

Recently, in a concert held at the Metlife Stadium by the Weeknd, they showed fans the trailer of the HBO Max series, The Idol.

After Jisoo won hearts of fans with her performance in the popular K-drama Snowdrop, Jennie will now be wearing the actor’s hat for the very first time in a Hollywood series!

We can already envision Jennie acting her role with perfection while stealing hearts of the viewers. This is infact a matter of pride for her fandom and BLINKS as Jennie is the first-ever Korean Idol to debut in an American Series.

‘The idol’ will feature stars such as Troye Sivan, Steve Zissis, and Juliebeth Gonzalez who will be in supporting roles with The Weeknd and Lily-Rose Depp in the lead. The show is produced by ‘Euphoria’ producer Sam Levinson and its story is of a rising pop star in Hollywood who becomes entangled in a rather sordid relationship with a club owner. He also happens to be leader of a secret cult.

Although Blackpink’s agency has not firmed Jennie’s casting as yet, Blinks spotted Jennie in the first teaser for the series.

An excited fan tweeted “From Kdrama to American drama series real quick. JENNIE IN THE IDOL!” , while another excitingly added, “Jennie is coming to Hollywood!”
