CID the popular cop series which dictated proceedings with its engaging cases, and popular household characters will be back soon!! Work has indeed started for the comeback of this popular show on Sony TV. The show which was earlier produced by BP Singh and Pradeep Uppoor and ran for nearly 20 years, will return to the TV screens. CID holds the record for being one of the longest-running TV shows.
IWMBuzz.com has heard that CID in its newest version, will be produced by Banijay Asia. Banijay Asia, popular content makers in the OTT space have made successful series like The Night Manager, Call My Agent: Bollywood, Dahan, Matsya Kaand, Undekhi, Tribhanga etc. The production house produced the TV show The Kapil Sharma Show.
As per a reliable source, “The show CID will bring together Shivaji Satam, Dayanand Shetty and Aditya Srivastava. Work on the show has started and will soon go on floor.”
Shivaji Satam played Senior Inspector Pradhyuman, Dayanand Shetty played Sr Inspector Daya, and Aditya Srivastava played Sr Inspector Abhijeet in the long-running earlier version. Dinesh Phadnis who played Inspector Fredricks, will unfortunately be missed.

Recently, there was also a video that went viral, where the trio – Shivaji Satam, Dayanand Shetty and Aditya Srivastava were seen together.
