With Khatron Ke Khiladi 14 now being shot in Romania, fans have been waiting to get updates about their favorite celebs. However, there has been a constant between Khatron Ke Khiladi and Bigg Boss is how they somehow always coincide with each other and we see several Bigg Boss contestants participating in Khatron Ke Khiladi.

On that note, it was expected that Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia would go ahead and do that last year itself but instead, she chose to participate this season.

In an exclusive conversation with IWMBuzz, Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia went on to talk about what made her say yes to the stunt-based reality show, why she decided to take a break, and how is she prepping herself for the journey.

Now that you are finally doing Khatron Ke Khiladi 14, we have to ask, what made you say yes?

Firstly, I am very grateful to Colors for the opportunity and I am glad they thought of me. This was actually a show I always wanted to do. I have been very adventurous and hence I feel the universe was telling me to do this, and hence when the offer came along, I had to do it. without a doubt.

Post Bigg Boss, there was speculation you would do the last season of KKK but you chose to say yes for this one. Why did you take this break?

Because, as everyone knows, Bigg Boss was so draining. So, I needed to take time off. And I also feel that as an actor, you constantly need to revamp yourself. So to do that, you need to be going through different processes of growth. I just feel there would have been no freshness if I had done that immediately. Now there is something new to look forward to, and maybe I have grown in the last year, maybe something has changed within me – so there will be something new for people to see as well on-screen.

As you mentioned growth, there has always been this assumption that the contestant that does Bigg Boss goes on to get many offers after it ends. Do you feel that’s true?

I think, concerning work – there is one fact that cannot be denied and that is how people recognise you. But with acting projects, I feel acting is something that has nothing to do with what you do on a reality show. So, the kind of actor you are and the efforts you are taking to better yourself will be what will help you soar ahead. Because fame doesn’t guarantee projects concerning the acting talent.

The show is about maintaining composure throughout difficult stunts. How are you preparing yourself for the same?

I have to say this how OTT (over-the-top) I was in my life as everyone knows – with maturity, that has calmed down a lot. I think calmness has kicked into me. I think in the recent past, I have also become more spiritual – where meditating has helped me a lot. Rest, of course, time will tell.

Interestingly, in Choti Sardarni, you have done a lot of aerial work in scenes hence, also even doing some stunts. Will that help you here?

I guess adventure is something that always appeals to me. Being an army kid, I guess all these things speak naturally to me. I have always been like that and it is ingrained in me. So only because of that, I am looking forward to this.

Shalin Bhanot is also a part of this season. Do we anticipate some banter this time around too?

I don’t know. I haven’t met him yet and will only have a real encounter on the show.
