Actress Jyoti Gauba who is presently seen in the role of the main negative in Star Plus’ Imlie, has bagged a completely contrasting character in Sony TV’s Katha Ankahee. The show produced by Sphere Origin will have Jyoti Gauba playing the mother-in-law of Katha.
It has Adnan Khan and Aditi Sharma playing the leads. The show has been based out from the Turkish drama series One Thousand And One Nights.
As per a reliable source, “Jyoti Gauba will play the mother-in-law of Katha who will be compassionate and supportive towards her. She will be the person who will want her widow daughter-in-law to marry again.”
When contacted, Jyoti confirmed the news and told us, “I am back to playing the positive roles after a gap of two and a half years. I have been playing the negative shade in Imlie. In my recently shot web series too, I have been given negative shades to play. However, I started my journey playing the compassionate and affectionate mother roles. I am back to doing that again.”
Ask her about her look in the new show and she states, “Look wise, the character is similar to my look in Imlie. The lady here is super rich.”
Jyoti is impressed with the lead protagonist of the show Aditi. “She is a very sweet girl, hard-working and very down-to-earth. I will have most of my scenes with her.”
