Actor Pankaj Avadhesh Shukla who will be seen in the upcoming Sony LIV series Chamak, was also recently spotted shooting for the Contiloe project, Swaraj for Doordarshan.
As we know, Swaraj which is a Government-aided project depicts the life and journey of unsung freedom fighters.
As per a reliable source, “Pankaj will play the role of the integral warrior, Lakhan Dubey, from the era of 1857. He was the one who took ahead Mangal Pandey’s vidroh from Meerut to Delhi to win over Bhadurshah Zafar.”
When contacted, Pankaj confirmed the news saying, “It was a wonderful experience to play this real-life character of a freedom fighter. I learned the art of riding horses for this particular role.”
