Rajan Shahi the ace Producer who is presently calling the shots on two of the extremely popular shows on Hindi TV, Anupamaa and Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai is back after a long hiatus to address queries and certain underlying concerns related to his shows.
Ever since the second lockdown happened and the TV industry moved to newer territories to shoot their shows, Rajan Shahi of Director’s Kut Productions has kept away from media and has not been available to talk about varied topics related to his shows.
Well, we at IWMBuzz.com got the honour to talk to him on an exclusivity basis, and we will come up with many stunning quotes and affirmations made by the Producer on his actors, shows, tracks and new entries.
To begin with, we give you a cute little anecdote that Producer Rajan Shahi shared about his ace actor Mohsin Khan, who plays the lead role of Kartik in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai on Star Plus.
A few days back, Rajan and Mohsin were seated in the office of Director’s Kut, talking over coffee, discussing many things on the show when Mohsin came up with a startling comment, and thanked his Producer.
Says Rajan, “We were talking casually in the office when Mohsin made this statement, ‘Sir, you are responsible for me to complete my graduation.’ Years back, when Mohsin was a kid, of nearly 17 years, he had come up to us for an audition. After the audition, he came up to me and asked me to give him my frank thoughts on his audition and on his future prospects as an actor.”
Rajan continues to say, “I had then told him that he indeed has a bright future. But I had also asked him to give it a few years, work on his skills and even finish his education. I told him that after a few years, he will be in the best frame of mind to give it the best shot in acting.”
“Mohsin had taken this advice seriously and had invested his next few years in completing his graduation. I never knew that five years later, I will be casting this same boy as my lead in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. Mohsin profusely thanked me for this golden advice, which made him do the right thing at that point in time.”
Aww!!
The best part here is that Rajan Shahi learned the potential in Mohsin Khan and did not want him to start his career as a teen, and rather wait for the right age to jump into the ocean as an actor!!
