Bigg Boss 18 has finally begun, and the list of contestants is one to watch out for. Ranging from TV actors to a few influencers to celebrities from other facets, it is an interesting mix indeed. One of the contestants is actor Shehzada Dhami, who infamously became the subject of conversation of being ousted from Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai by the producer, Rajan Shahi.

That topic was never completely highlighted but it might be a possibility that happens in Bigg Boss 18. In an exclusive conversation with IWMBuzz, Dhami opened up on why he took up the show, what does he want to be a takeaway from the show, being schooled with Salman Khan if that happens and other things.

Q. When you were offered this show, what made you feel that this was the right time to take it up and enter the show?

Shehzada: So, I was initially offered Bigg Boss OTT 3 but I did not want to do the OTT version, hence I refused to do that. There were several other things lined up as well but amid the planning, I saw how much can things be pushed ahead. I was thinking about it and constant talks were going on and finally, the dates aligned and everything else fell into place. It is a very different concept, and of course, the attraction to do a show hosted by Salman Khan, I signed up for it.

Q. Are there things that you have decided for or thought that I won’t be doing this no matter what?

Shehzada: I will see once I am in the house. The things that I can control, I will control – and the ones I cannot control, I won’t.

Q. Are there specific trigger points for you more than other things?

Shehzada: No, I don’t have any such specific trigger points.

Q. The controversy that follows you about being ousted from a TV show is out there for everyone to see and talk about. Your promo highlighted that as well. Are you ready to discuss this topic first on the stage and later in the house?

Shehzada: I will see how it comes to me. I have suffered so much so far, trolling or anything else won’t affect me now.

Q. Salman Khan is the beating heart of the show. He is known to school someone when the situation demands it. Are you one of those people who feels that till it doesn’t come to me, I am fine with it, or is it like I will work with my impulse?

Shehzada: I will stand with the truth and oppose the wrongdoing, no matter what. Even if I am being schooled or slammed for that, I will make sure to express it and put it across as much. If there are things I feel are going wrong, I will stand for it – I cannot be quiet.

Q. How did you envision having a moment with Salman Khan on the stage?

Shehzada: I just wanted to feel his aura. Salman Sir has an aura that he carries with himself that when he enters anywhere, every eye looks at him, and everyone wants to look at him. So, I wanted to see and experience that aura.

Q. Everyone has a motive or plan to do the show. For you, what is that reason or what do you hope will be the takeaway?

Shehzada: I want to be real and I want people to know the real me. Whatever they have heard and what is being said about me, I am not like that. I want the audience to decide my real self and judge it accordingly.
