Sony Entertainment Television is going through a major revamp phase!! Its ongoing fiction shows Pukaar Dil Se Dil Tak, Jubilee Talkies, Kavya Ek Jazbaa, Ek Junoon, were closed down as part of the revamp process. Talks about the channel coming back with its popular and long-running cop show CID has been on for some time now!!

Exclusive: Banijay Asia to produce new season of CID for Sony TV
We now hear of Contiloe Pictures being given the opportunity to bring back two of its popular Sony TV shows, albeit with new seasons.
Yes, we are talking about Adaalat the courtroom drama show and Tenali Rama, both produced by Contiloe Pictures, returning with its new seasons.
For the uninitiated, Adaalat was a show revolving around K.D. Pathak, the suave, sophisticated, witty and yet unconventional lawyer who could get his clients out of the tightest of situations. The show had a great run of more than six years. The show had Ronit Roy playing the titular role.
Tenali Rama was a historical comedy-drama based on the life of the legendary Telugu poet Tenali Ramakrishna. It earlier aired on Sony SAB. The show had Krishna Bharadwaj, Pankaj Berry and Manav Gohil playing the major roles.
As per a reliable source, “It is not very clear at the moment whether the makers are looking for a fresher cast for the shows, or are planning a new version with the same cast. However, work has begun on these two shows as of now.”
Having said this, a little birdie did tell us that for Tenali Rama, Krishna Bharadwaj and Manav Gohil have been approached.
We reached out to the Producer at Contiloe Pictures and the channel spokesperson but did not get revert till we filed the story.
