Anu Malik, the celebrated singer-musician has been hit by the #MeToo controversy.

Anu Malik and his nasal tone tunes have entertained Indian music lovers for decades. A veteran figure, Anu is a known face across the length & breadth of this country.

His dramatic antics as a judge, replete with pearls of gyaan and hilarious quotes, made him the cut above the rest.

He, if we can put it, was ideal to pep up entertainment in any music related show.

However, his wings of personal reputation got chopped when multiple women spoke against his ill behavior. He, too, allegedly emerged as one of the monsters who fuelled the #MeToo movement.

Anu, who was one of the judges in the ongoing Indian Idol season (airing on Sony TV), had to vacate his throne.

Much has been written and spoken about it.

When IWMBuzz.com reached out to Anu, he said: “Have decided to take a break from Indian Idol as I am currently unable to focus on my work, my music and the show.”

He chose not to answer our further queries.

The channel said: “Anu Malik is no longer a part of the Indian Idol jury panel. The show will continue its planned schedule and we will invite some of the biggest names in Indian music as guests to join Vishal and Neha to judge the extraordinary talent of Indian Idol season 10.”

Basically, Anu had to go. And the versions showed it to be all amicable.

All we can say, for now, Anu’s strings will emit the note of sorrow and even regret, if at all.
