The classic 1989 television series Fauji, which marked the debut of Shah Rukh Khan, is making a comeback in a new avatar. Producer Sandeep Singh has teamed up with India’s national broadcaster, Doordarshan, to bring Fauji 2, a revamped and modernized version of the original series.

Fauji 2 will feature a fresh cast, headlined by Vicky Jain and Gauahar Khan, with twelve new actors joining the team. Among the newcomers are Aashish Bhardhwaj, Utkarsh Kohli, Rudra Soni, Amardeep Phogat, Ayaan Manchanda, Niel Satpuda, Suvansh Dhar, Priyanshu Rajguru, Aman Singh Deep, Udit Kapur, Maansi, and Sushmita Bhandari. The ensemble cast promises to bring fresh energy to the much-loved series.

In a musical highlight, Sonu Nigam lends his voice to the title track of Fauji 2. The show will feature eleven songs, with music composed by Shreyas Puranik, adding a unique element to the new version.

Sandeep Singh not only serves as the producer but is also joined by co-producers Vicky Jain and Zafar Mehdi. The show is directed by Abhinav Pareek, known for his work on Sab Moh Maaya Hai and A Wedding Story. Nishant Chandrashekhar has also contributed as a director. Sameer Hallim leads the creative team, ensuring the essence of the original series is maintained while updating it for a contemporary audience.

Fauji 2 is set to air on Doordarshan and will be broadcast in six languages: Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Gujarati, Punjabi, and Bengali, making it accessible to a wider audience. The return of Fauji in this new format is expected to stir nostalgia while introducing the story to a new generation of viewers.
