Whenever a show needs an upliftment in terms of ratings, a generation leap fast approaching, the creative think tank brings about a few stunning twists in the tale. One such extremely common twist is that of the death of the popular Jodi of the show. Well, the lead actors gain huge acclaim and turn out to become household names owing to their popularity. The characters get larger than life and are mostly loved beyond limits by fans. However, when such tragic ends are brought about of the leads, the joy of seeing them together on screen fades off. TV shows have in the recent past seen a few shocking deaths of popular Jodis in the narrative plots of shows.

Madhubala – Ek Ishq Ek Junoon:

RK and Madhu, played by Vivian Dsena and Drashti Dhami in the popular Colors show were a revelation when it came to amazing onscreen chemistry. Totally contrast to each other, Madhu and RK’s love story was one unique one. They had their own ups and downs in love, and their life was mostly drama-filled. However, death could not break them apart. Even in death, they were together. A bomb blast took the lives of RK and Madhu. It was a tragic end to the tale, before the reincarnation drama started in the narrative.

Qubool Hai:

Asad and Zoya were originally played in the popular Zee TV show Qubool Hai by Karan Singh Grover and Surbhi Jyoti. The two of them enjoyed great fandom. However, Karan was replaced in between with Raqesh Vashisth taking over as Asad. The fairy tale romance of Asad and Zoya was brought to a fatal end when they were killed by Tanveer. It was the end of the romantic era in the show, as there could be none other than this fabulous Jodi.

Kumkum Bhagya:

This long-running Zee TV show saw the ordeal and journey of two eternal lovers, Abhi and Pragya. Shabir Ahluwalia and Sriti Jha played the lead roles effectively well. They had a stunning onscreen chemistry which made the show the kind of hit it was. After going through a lot of heartbreaks, happy moments, separation and even unions, Abhi and Pragya met with an accident. Post this, they were declared to be in a comatose state for a long time. Ultimately it was shown that they succumbed to death, holding their hands.

Choti Sarrdaarni:

Choti Sarrdaarni the Colors show saw the beautiful journey of Meher and Sarabjit. Played by Nimrit Kaur and Avinesh Rekhi, the Jodi was a huge hit. Their calmness in love, their big sacrifices for each other, and their love for kids made this love story special. Even in death, they were together. They met with a car accident in which they breathed their last. It was an emotional episode at the hospital where the two of them saw the faces of their kids and breathed their last.

Imlie:

This popular Star Plus show saw the engaging duo of Aryan and Imlie coming together against all odds. Aryan played by Fahmaan Khan and Imlie played by Sumbul Touqeer enjoyed great chemistry. Though Fahmaan was not the original lead of the show, he looked extremely good with Sumbul from the time they got together onscreen. The two of them died in each other’s arms after a bomb blast rocked their lives.

Udaariyaan:

This Colors show was very unique as the love story of Fateh and Tejo remained supreme. Ankit Gupta and Priyanka Chaudhary went on to become the most loved Jodi onscreen. As Fateh and Tejo, they engaged fans in their laughter and sorrows. The beautiful love story of Fateh and Tejo was cut short when the two of them met with a brutal accident in which they breathed their last. They left with their fans some great memories of togetherness.
