With the competition brimming at its best, Indian series producers only want to put their best foot forward to win over their audience. Now, television producers are not only producing TV shows but also web series for digital viewers and they are making their mark on the web platform too. Check list below!
Producer Abhimanyu Singh of Contiloe Pictures: The production house delivered an amazing series, State Of Siege. The story was adapted from Black Tornado: The Three Sieges of Mumbai 26/11, a bestselling book by Sandeep Unnithan, detailing this multi-pronged terrorist attack, that plunged the city into chaos. On the other hand, Applause Entertainment partnered with Contiloe Pictures to produce – ‘Taj – A Monument of Blood ’ – a magnum opus period drama series on the rise and fall of one of the most iconic dynasties of all time – the Mughal Empire.
Producer Saurabh Tewari of Parin Multimedia: The talented man, who has created shows like “Madhubala” and “Rangrasiya”, made his debut with a web series titled “Chinese Bhasad”. Now, he is working on an upcoming Voot web series L.L.B. – Bas Naam Hi Kaafi Hai which stars Ravi Dubey, Bhuvnesh Mann, Rashmi Agdekar, Rashami Desai, Ali Asgar, and Rajesh Kumar part of the project.
Producer Sunjoy Waddhwa of Sphereorigins: The chairman and managing director, who gave amazing shows like Saat Phere: Saloni Ka Safar, Balika Vadhu, Saraswatichandra, Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani, Silsila Badalte Rishton Ka, and Pandya Store, is currently created web originals for the loyal audiences. They produced a series named Your Honor for Applause Entertainment which streamed on Sony LIV. The series was headlined by Jimmy Shergill.
Producer Siddharth Kumar Tewary of Swastik Productions: The talented man produced ‘Escaype Live’ under the director’s One Life Studios. Set in the landscape of contemporary India, the series explores the different journeys of six regular Indians as they struggle to win fame and fortune on a social media app called Escaype Live. The show had a cast consisting of Siddharth, Jaaved Jaaferi, Shweta Tripathi Sharma, Swastika Mukherjee, Plabita Borthakur, Waluscha D’Souza, Ritvik Sahore, Sumedh Mudgalkar, Geetika Vidya Ohlyan, Jagjeet Sandhu, Rohit Chandel, and child actor Aadyaa Sharma.
Producer Siddharth P Malhotra of Alchemy Films: Siddharth has produced a number of web series so far. In the past, Alchemy Films has come up with some engaging concepts for the web like Kaafir, Tribhanga, Bestseller etc. Now, the production house is set to produce one more web series which stars Harleen Sethi, Aamir Ali, Sharad Kelkar, Viraf Patell, Teena Singh, Vivaan Shah playing pivotal roles.
Producer Ekta Kapoor of Balaji Telefilms: Ekta Kapoor has created lots of series in her career. And it might be really hard to keep track of all the shows. To name a few, Mentalhood, Crashh, Paurashpur, Dev DD, Haq Se, Romil and Jugal, Baarish, Home, The Test Case, Class of 2017 and Class of 2020, Aparahan, Bichoo Ka Khel were some of the best web shows.
