Talented actor Gagan Malik will stage his return to TV after his Godly stint as Lord Krishna in the popular TV series, Sankatmochan Mahabali Hanuman.
Gagan will soon enter Star Plus’ Tu Sooraj Main Saanjh Piyaji (Shashi Sumeet Productions) in a very different avatar that of a Brahmachari.
Yes, you heard it right!!
As per sources, “Gagan will play the role of a pious and learned Bal Brahmachari who would be closely associated with Uma (Avinesh Rekhi) and his family. For Uma, the Brahmachari would be someone close to God, and Uma would believe and trust in him very much. Uma will be a staunch follower of the divine man’s preaching and teachings. For the Brahmachari, it will be a sin to even hear to the voice of a female, leave along see a female.”
In the coming episodes, the Brahmachari’s visit to Uma’s place will bring in a huge twist in the tale that will change the destiny of the family forever.
We buzzed Gagan and he confirmed the news to IndianWikiMedia.com saying, “Yes, I am entering Tu Sooraj. This is a different kind of role for me after playing the Godly avatars of Ram and Krishna. This Bal Brahmachari is very strict and short-tempered. He will not think twice before giving a curse to anyone. So after playing the patient roles, I am now getting to play an angry man’s role.”
We reached out to Producer Sumeet Mittal but did not get his revert till we filed the story.
As for Gagan, he came to the limelight initially with shows Kumkum, Shakuntala. The actor has however excelled in his mythological portrayals in shows Ramayan, Sankatmochan Mahabali Hanuman. Gagan has also starred in an International film ‘Sri Siddhartha Gauthama’ for which he won the Best Actor Award in the 2014 World Buddhist Film Festival for this titular role.
