The entertainment industry got a major shock today when we reported about the death of TV actor Sameer Sharma. He committed suicide at his residence.
The news has sent shockwaves across the industry and people are paying their last respect to the late actor.
We got exclusively in touch with actor Gaurav Chopraa, who has been a dear friend and co-star of Sameer and when we asked him to speak a few lines to pay homage to the actor, he reacted and we quote,
“This is personal. Sameer had made his debut in a show with me called Dil Kya Chahta Hai. The show was based on friendship and was very ahead of its time. We had a wonderful time and it was about four guys. We all got very friendly with each other. Later again, when I joined Left Right Left, Sameer, Rajeev Khandelwal and I were there as three friends. Those are the two shows I worked with him. We had a friendship. Unfortunately, the kind of lives we lead, we weren’t much in touch, of late. He had a divorce some time in between and things were tough. The situation around is very depressing and that’s probably there are so many taking this negative step. I seriously pray things get better and people stop this snowball effect. I pray for his family and may his soul rest in peace.”
