It seems as if the threat looming large over popular &TV show, Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hai, with lead artist, Saumya Tandon, wanting to quit, allegedly due to health issues, has tapered off.
At first, it was reported that Saumya will no longer be part of the show from September. But now it seems that she will continue.
A source confirmed the same, praising her professional conduct. However, the same source refused to comment on her health status.
Aasif Sheikh, who plays Saumya’s on-screen husband, Vibhuti, while stressing that all is well, conceded that she is being seen less on screen. “There are some date problems due to personal factors. But I am sure that they will be ironed out. And we will not be faced with a crisis like we faced when Shilpa Shinde (Angoori Bhabhi) had quit in a huff mid-stream.”
The pressure on Saumya and other lead actors (Rohitashv Gaur, Shubhangi Poorey) has also lessened, with supporting characters like Happu Singh, Tikka, Malkhan and Tillu getting more standalone space. “Yes, it does lighten our burden, but it is not possible in every story,” ended Aasif.
Saumya, production house (EDIT II) and channel spokesperson remained unavailable for a comment.
