The Kapil Sharma Show on Sony Entertainment Television has opened to fantastic ratings and has topped the list with its entertaining and hilarious content. Every week, guests from the Bollywood fraternity are gracing the show giving its viewers interesting sneak-peek into their lives.
This Saturday, Punjabi singer, Guru Randhawa will be seen gracing The Kapil Sharma Show along with Bollywood’s serial kisser Emraan Hashmi as they come to promote their upcoming movie Cheat India.
Guru Randhawa gets the audiences grooving as he sings his super hit tracks while on the show. Not many know that Guru Randhawa had started singing when he was in the 3rd standard and had started writing when he was in the 7th grade. The singer rose to fame with the very famous ‘Ban Ja Tu Meri Rani’ which became a chartbuster overnight. The song has become a party anthem.
Kapil jokingly says that if anyone wants to know the place from where the girl belongs, they should listen to Guru’s songs citing example of another famous song of Guru ‘lagdi lahore di ya’.
Guru Randhawa then reveals the story behind him writing Ban Ja Tu Meri Rani. He reveals that he had written the song for a girl back in the days and after writing the song, he sang it to her but then she dissed him off saying that he is nothing and she doesn’t want to be with him which left him heart-broken. When the song became a hit, that same girl called him back and confessed her love but having learnt his lesson well, Guru rejected the proposal.
Guru said, “It’s all about time and one should love the person and not the fame that comes with that person. I realized that this girl was in love with the fame I had achieved and not me, so I never took it forward, though she wanted to come back to me.”
Guru also shares that when he was in school in Gurdaspur, a girl wanted to kiss him. He got so scared that he went and informed his elder brother about it. Emraan Hashmi is startled to hear that a girl wanted to kiss him to which Kapil says ‘hogi bacchon ki Emraan Hashmi’.
Aww!! Cute moments indeed!!
