Discovery Communications’ new Hindi General Entertainment Channel (GEC), named Discovery JEET is on the verge of launch!!
As we know, Still and Still Media Collective, helmed by Amritpal Singh Bindra and Anand Tiwari has been working on a show on a Punjabi rapper, titled ‘Gabru – The Origin of Hip Hop’.
As reported by media, TVF guy Amol Parashar has been roped in to play the lead role of the rapper in the series.
We at IndianWikiMedia.com has got confirmed information about the popular model, actor and television host, Harleen Sethi being roped in for the female lead’s role in Gabru.
For the uninitiated, Harleen has hosted many shows of which the popular one has been India Adventures on NDTV Prime and NDTV 24*7.
As per credible sources, “Discovery JEET will launch sometime next year in 2018. With most of the shows going on floor, expectations are high on the biopics that will come on air with the channel launching. Harleen will also play a rapper, a rival of the main rapper guy.”
We buzzed the spokesperson associated with the show but did not hear back.
