Charrul Malik who has been a popular name in the news beat of India TV, having been an anchor with Saas Bahu and Suspense. She will now get back to her passion of acting with Happu Ki Ultan Paltan, the &TV show, produced by Sanjay Kohli and Benaifer Kohli’s Edit II Productions.
Yes you heard it right!!
Charrul who had earlier played a cameo role, that of a Bengali character in Edit II’s Bhabhji Ghar Par Hain a long time back, will enter in the role of Russa, the sister-in-law of the the Police Commisioner Resham Pal Singh in the & show.
When contacted, Charrul Malik confirmed the news saying, “Yes, this is my first day of shoot with the team of Happu Ki Ultan Paltan. I am done with my contract with India TV. As everyone knows, I used to head their Entertainment beat and anchor the show Saas Bahu and Suspense. It was a very successful show which had a run for five years. And once it ended, I was offered mainstream news anchoring in Delhi. In this tension-filled ambiance, I did not want to get into it. After I politely refused the offer, I got this role from Sanjay and Benaifer Kohli. This is a very lovely role and I immediately accepted it.”
Charrul has donned many different characters in her entertainment anchoring career.
