Javed Ali serenades Li’l Champs’ mummy from horseback

Zee TV’s immensely popular singing reality show for kids- ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li’l Champs’ is back with its sixth season. The show premiered on Saturday, 25th February at 9 PM and is currently airing the audition episodes. The contestants from across the country are busy flooring the mentors and jury, vying for a spot in the competition. While all the aspiring child singers have an undying passion for singing, the willingness to learn and an urge to prove themselves, what remains unique is the story each one has to tell! Apart from some phenomenal singing, the show’s recent shoot saw some hilarious moments where the judges- Himesh Reshammiya, Neha Kakkar and Javed Ali relived their childhood and indulged in some ‘masti’.

Known for being one of the most soulful playback singers of India, ‘Jaadu Bhaiya Mummy Wale’ aka Javed Ali discovered a new talent of his on the show. The singer, it turns out, is also an amazing horse rider. During the show, Javed mounted a horse and serenaded one of the contestants – Shanmukhapriya’s – mother. Shanmukhapriya’s mother who thinks Javed Ali resembles Bahubali was absolutely thrilled when her favorite singer fulfilled her wish, donning the look of Bahubali by putting on a moustache and singing for her from a horseback. We cannot wait to see what else the talented Javed Ali will do in the coming episodes of this fun kid’s reality show.

This season is bigger and better than ever before with talent flowing in abundance. Satyajeet Jena from Odisha blew the judges away with his melodious performance and is quickly becoming the audiences’ favorite as his audition video was trending at number five on YouTube. Utkarsh Wankhede of Nagpur was not behind as he took the stage by storm singing A.R. Rehman and Gulzar Sahab’s hit song ‘Tere Bina’ from the movie Guru. Breaking all records and setting the benchmark a notch higher, Shreyan Bhattacharyan’s performance to Sapnon Se Bhare Naina was met with a standing ovation from everyone present. All the kids took the judges and jury by surprise as they unleashed their talent making the episode a memorable one. While the start of this musical journey has been spectacular, it will be an absolute treat to see these young singing prodigies grow in the weeks to come.

This weekend, be ready to watch the magic of singing come alive as the top 15 contestants set the stage on fire with their mellifluous voices.
