Punjab gets yet another singing sensation, Kavita was adjudged the Voice of Punjab 13 reality show winner yesterday night at Mohali, while Rohaan was declared the first runner up, singer Dilraj Singh won the second runner up.
In a star-studded evening of the Mega Finale of Voice of Punjab season 13 top five contestants performed to win the coveted title while Tanvir Kaur from Ferozepur didn’t move ahead in the last round of the show, singer Deepu Singh from Ferozepur with his performances moved to the top four but couldn’t make it to the top Three.
The singing reality show “Voice Of Punjab 13” is a marquee property for PTC Punjabi and see’s active participation from budding singers across Punjab, and other parts of the country. The show promotes singing and gives a platform to the artists to upskill their talent and looks for the best singing talent available from the Heartland of Punjab.
Talking about the show, Mr. Rabindra Narayan, MD and President, PTC Network, said,
“This season of Voice of Punjab has seen unprecedented viewership. The participants too have been phenomenal. It didn’t seem like we were watching contestants. They were rather performing like masters and it was difficult to choose one winner. Punjab has immense talent and we are proud to be the bridge between the talent and the people of Punjab”
The jury for the current season VOP 13 included the evergreen music director Sachin Ahuja, renowned Punjabi and Bollywood singer Master Saleem famous playback singer Jyotica Tangri and Punjabi singer Kaptan Laddi.
Each episode of the show had multiple celebrities coming in to motivate and encourage the budding upcoming singers.
The winner of the title “PTC Punjabi Voice of Punjab 13” Kavita a resident of Gurdaspur took home a prize of Rs 2,00,000 Lakh cash and other gifts. The first and second runner up Rohaan from Jalandhar and Dilraj Singh from Ropar won prize money of Rs 1 lakh each and other gifts.
Over the past years and seasons of Voice of Punjab, the show has given ample singers to the Punjabi Music industry, much to the claims like renowned artists Ranjit Bawa, Gurnam Bhullar, Sunanda Sharma, NimratKhaira,Kaur B, Yasir Hussain,Himmat Sandhu and Amar Sehmbi and Harvinder Harry.
VOP 13 season, saw active participation this year as after a gap of two-yearsthe auditions happened on ground in various cities of Punjab. Amritsar, Jalandhar, Ludhiana, Bathinda and Mohali saw hundreds of probable contestants, testing their vocal skills being adjudged by the best in the Music industry.
The shortlisted contestants from these cities were called for the Mega Finale round at Mohali and from where the TOP 24 contestants competed to win the coveted title of Voice of Punjab -13.
TC Punjabi continues to upskill the talent of Punjab through its various entertaining shows. The show will now be replaced on air with a new drama series “Wangaan”, which starts from 16th of January, Monday to Friday on PTC Punjabi at 7 PM.
